New Bridge

New Bridge (pictured above) is located in the south of the village where is spans the River Teign. It is said to be haunted by the Dewal or Devil, although it is not known why.

Hidden Treasure

Please beware! If you see a ghostly dwarf beckoning to you whilst exploring Chudleigh Knighton, you would be advised to follow. The apparition is supposed to lead to buried treasure.

Jew’s Bridge

Jew’s Bridge is located near Stover, a residence in the village. It is said to be haunted by the ghost of a Jewish pedlar believed murdered there. In 1961, a woman reported “something waving it’s arms and running alongside her”.
